SUPPORT WORKER (HOMELESSNESS) – STOKE ON TRENT

Schedule 2 Recruit are seeking flexible, hardworking and knowledgeable Support Workers to join their fast-growing team across Stoke on Trent and surrounding areas to work within homeless shelters around the area.

As a Support Worker for Schedule 2 Recruit you will be working within homeless shelters, supporting vulnerable adults with complex and often challenging needs, such as substance misuse and helping those experiencing homelessness.

In this role, you will provide practical and emotional support to individuals, empowering them to make positive changes and work towards independence. You’ll work closely with clients, supporting them with housing, health, and well-being while connecting them with essential services.

As a representative of Schedule 2 Recruit, it is imperative that you provide the best quality care to the individuals under your supervision and have an ever professional, calm and nurturing approach to supporting the people in your care.

Requirements 

  • Experience working with homelessness, substance misuse, or mental health (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to quickly build affinities with young people and staff teams
